About Me
I'm Aidan Casey, a post graduate with a first class honours in Bachelor of Arts 'BA (Hons)' for Music & Sound Production, currently based in Bournemouth. I have over 6 years previous experience in music production for electronic dance music, radio hosting & broadcasting, sound engineering and audio production for media and visuals. My competent experience within the musical and digital sectors branch from building loyal relationships with fellow creatives, forward thinking and excellent understanding to tasks & my acceleration for productiveness and creative ambition. With a general love and passion for music and creative arts, I have further developed a positive work ethic and a mature understanding for expanding knowledge, networking and initiative when managing academic and freelance/independent projects.
I am co-founder/CEO of ESC_ (Escape), an independent record label that focuses entirely on diverse and desirable new styles of underground electronic dance music since its formation in 2019. Our small team of 3 consists of creative individuals, showcasing euphoric and future dystopian themes, which parcels each release (physical & digital) into a forward-thinking approach to dance-floor music. I also help run an independent record shop called 'Recovery Records', with my role being 'Creative Assistant', alongside 2 talented and visionary colleagues. What we do is focus on stocking & researching of new, old and used physical music releases, merchandise, DIY club events/parties & graphic design.
I also have a freelance music producer & DJ alias called 'Dunman'. This musical discography includes various orientated dance music EPs, collaborations with various vocalists and producers, and singles/placements on streaming platforms. These have been distributed by various underground independent dance record labels and brands, as well as myself. My music work has also been supported on various radio stations & independent music & clothing brands such as Radio 1, 1xtra, SWU FM, Rinse FM, Reprezent Radio, Trickstar Radio, Pyro Radio, Keep Hush, Balamii, Zeruch & more.
